Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been subject to some impressive motion-capture technology, and this newest development diary details how the team created protagonist Senua's realistic expressions and movements in the game.

The video includes interviews with Ninja Theory and developers from Epic Games, who both collaborated for the motion-capture side of development. Ninja Theory's Tameem Antoniades explains that one of the team's priorities with Hellblade is to "make [Senua] one of the most believable characters ever seen in a video game.”

This video was originally shown at GDC this week, which included a live demo of actress Melina Juergens performing in real-time with the game. Hellblade is expected to arrive later this year on PlayStation 4 and PC. You can watch Hellblade's most recent trailer here, which also includes more details of the live demo from GDC.
