Microsoft and developer Turn 10 have just released the Forza Motorsport 6 demo on Xbox One, and we detail it all in this series of videos.
Note: The videos below do not run in 60 fps, although the game does.

The demo first plops you into an introductory race in Rio. It's pretty to look at, but not all the game's races will be this easy – this sequence has full assists on.

The full game has different Volumes or groupings of races based on a car type. The demo puts you in an introductory volume featuring a small selection of regular-joe cars to choose from. You can even choose to apply a body decal created by community members. Like previous Forza titles, you level up your driver and developer car affinities if you race with the same make over and over. Each new level you unlock as a driver gives you a spin on the prize wheel. Forza 6 also features some pre-race menu options such as the ability to set drivatars' aggression level, whether you want simulation steering, and the chance to tune your car without having to go out to the main menu.
MODS
(Please visit the site to view this media)
Mods are new to Forza 6 and let you apply multiple modifiers that can give you more grip or give you more credits or XP at the end of a race. In the demo you can apply up to three at once, and some are more rare than others and/or can be single use or unlimited. For instance, the demo features a Grip Specialist mod that not only gives you 6 percent more grip when used, but the same percentage extra grip (for a full 12 percent) when you're at the Yas Marina Track. Other mods may challenge you to complete an objective for an XP reward. Different packs of mods can be bought for in-game credits.
YAS MARINA

When the sun goes down the track temperature falls and cars have less grip. Then again, the twists and turns of this track don't afford you much grip anyway. Unfortunately, the game does not feature dynamic day/night changes, so the the track won't go from hot to cold as the race goes on.
SEBRING IN THE RAIN
(Please visit the site to view this media)
The rain makes quite a difference in the game. Breaking is harder, you often have to tip-toe around corners, and puddles can make you hydroplane. And whatever you do, stay off the grass at the edge of the tracks. Visibility can even be a factor as cars ahead of you spray mist and the brake assist indicators can be obscured.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Even after you finish these races (there is also a seven-lap showcase race in an Indy car at Indianapolis), you can race solo hot laps against other players' times. Post a good score and you could earn a trip to Texas' Circuit of the Americas courtesy of Microsoft.
Also, just for playing the demo, the intro sequence's 2017 Ford GT is yours in the full game.
Forza Motorsport 6 comes out for the Xbox One on September 15 (or Sept. 10 if you're an early access member).
