Today, Square Enix launched Justice Monsters Five as a standalone game on mobile. The project is still a part of Final Fantasy XV as an in-game minigame, but players can now experience the pinball-esque project for themselves in advance of the November 29 launch of the larger game.
In Justice Monsters Five, players control monsters like Bomb Bro and Fab Flan as they fight to save the galaxy from the villainous Lord Vexxos. Gameplay is inspired by classic pinball tables, but uses touch and flick controls to fight battles. A big focus is also placed on recruiting and improving new monsters as you play through the game.
The game is free, but it uses in-app purchases as a monetization structure. If that model is something you’re a wary about trying out, Square Enix is trying to tempt you with some free in-game items during the first weeks after launch. Until September 25 at 8am PT, players who log in get some free golden orbs, an in-game currency.

Justice Monsters Five is available now on iOS and Android, with an impending launch on PC.
