Dark Souls III now has a firm release date in the West. Bandai Namco has revealed new gameplay and a release date for Spring 2016.

A new trailer gives us a good look at just a few of the enemies that are no doubt going to kill us over and over again. For a series that has told us to “prepare to die” though, “embrace the darkness” feels a bit tame.

A day one edition will be available, complete with a soundtrack, Prima starter guide, and special packaging. For those who want to go the collector's edition route, expect to spend $129.99 for a bundle that includes:

  • Prima Starter Guide
  • Soundtrack
  • Art book
  • Cloth game map
  • 10” Red Knight Statue
  • Collector’s box
