Developer Noio and Licorice has released a new trailer to kick off the release of their indie strategy game Kingdom. The trailer lays out the serene, yet unforgiving nature of the game’s cycle of building and defending your land against ravenous gangs of creatures.
As the king or queen, players must venture on horseback through their kingdom, collecting coins and allies to help build fortresses and defend themselves from hordes of evil nocturnal monsters. Players can build simple things like siege walls, or more elaborate structures like archer towers. Though there is an end-game state, death and destruction are practically guaranteed as players learn the mechanics of their kingdom and put their hard-earned lessons to use in the next campaign.
Check out the trailer and screenshots below for a look at what a pixelated empire looks like.
