The original Ark: Survival Evolved has found a healthy following on PC and Xbox One, and a PS4 version is set to arrive in June. However, developer Studio Wildcard is eager to see the franchise expand, which led to the PC release of Ark: Survival of the Fittest, a competitive online arena game built with eSports competition in mind, and that PC version is already in full swing. The spin-off project is now steering towards release for PS4 on July 19. The new PS4 release is promised to have the same content as the PC release, but also add a new Practice mode, so that players can become familiar with gameplay prior to diving into the competitive action. The PS4 version will also support a full suite of eSports rankings, matchmaking, leaderboards, and monthly cash prizes to further cement its potential as an eSports contender.  Ark: Survival of the Fittest borrows the humans-meet-dinosaur vibe of Survival Evolved, but sets the action in an ever-shrinking arena that pushes up to 72 survivors into ever closer conflict with one another. Within a given match, players form up into tribes, tame dinosaurs and other creatures, and aim to take each other out.  Check out the trailer for the new PS4 version below.  (Please visit the site to view this media)
