Nobody is safe from being splattered in Stainless Games' newest iteration in the Carmageddon series, subtitled Max Damage. The game has just been announced for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the title's debut trailer runs amok on cars and pedestrians alike.
Carmageddon: Max Damage is scheduled to hit the home systems sometime in mid-2016. Developer Stainless has alluded to a PC version of the game, which it says it will deliver free to those who've purchased 2015's Carmageddon: Reincarnation at some point. It's unclear how or if Max Damage is different from Reincarnation.
Max Damage features over 30 cars and 90 power-ups to lay waste to the competition over three modes: career, freeplay, and multiplayer. Multiplayer includes playing offline against A.I. as well as online against five other players. This includes the Fox 'n' Hounds variant whereby one player becomes the hunted. The game also includes an Action Replay mode that allows you to place cameras to capture all the action – including running over a variety of pedestrians and animals.
